Four Tet – Pause

Four Tet

I’ll cut to the chase here, Kieran Hebden is a genius, and in my opinion pretty much the most innovative and ground breaking musician alive today, perhaps second only to Radiohead. Under the moniker of Four Tet he has produced consistently brilliant electronic albums as well as remixing artists like Radiohead, Madvillain and Aphex Twin, pretty cool. The guy’s even credited with the invention of a genre “folk-tronica”, jeez. Suffice to say, his CV is pretty good. Pause is an album he released in 2001 on Domino Records and is a great introduction to his work, striking a perfect balance between sampled beats and melodies and lush organic guitars and strings, creating a record that constantly evolves and develops as it goes on.
I’d say this is my favourite of all the records i’ve added to this blog so far, DOWNLOAD THIS NOW!

Thanks for checking out Acid Math!

This blog will hopefully act as a conduit for me to pass on stuff I think is awesome, to you, the music appreciator. There will be new stuff, old stuff, well known stuff and unknown stuff, everything will be good though, you can be sure of that.

Clicking on a picture will take you to a link where you can download said album for sampling purposes

Don't be selfish, consider all these links as means of sampling the artist only. If you like something then go and buy it. Equally as important, support your local music scene, no matter how small. Go and see shows.

I'm always up for linking with other blogs, so get in touch if you want to as well. Any queries? Leave a comment somewhere and i'll get back to you. Enjoy!
