Animal Collective – Animal Crack Box

Animal Crack Box

Holy shit! I’ve been eagerly waiting for this since it was mentioned in an interview I read with the band about a year ago and now it’s finally here! Animal Crack Box is the almost mythical collection of live Animal Collective recordings from their first few years as a band, playing gigs at house parties and basement shows with their sound varying from the experimental stuff of Danse Manatee to the campfire style chants from Campfire Songs. AC are definitely one of my favourite groups and i’ll hopefully see them this summer at some point, for now this is going to have to do! This was only available as a 3-LP set limited to 1000 copies and sold out pretty much immediately so I wouldn’t feel too guilty if you do choose to download it. Enjoy!

P.S. If someone with a copy wants to give it away, feel free to give it to me. Alternatively, you could donate me a few hundred pounds, which is how much this is going for on eBay already.

Welcome…

Thanks for checking out Acid Math!

This blog will hopefully act as a conduit for me to pass on stuff I think is awesome, to you, the music appreciator. There will be new stuff, old stuff, well known stuff and unknown stuff, everything will be good though, you can be sure of that.

Clicking on a picture will take you to a link where you can download said album for sampling purposes

Don't be selfish, consider all these links as means of sampling the artist only. If you like something then go and buy it. Equally as important, support your local music scene, no matter how small. Go and see shows.

I'm always up for linking with other blogs, so get in touch if you want to as well. Any queries? Leave a comment somewhere and i'll get back to you. Enjoy!
